Description:

This position is in the Datacenter and Embedded Solutions Group, Embedded business unit which will be a Technical Writer / Technical Content Moderator.

Responsibilities include:

Technical Writer will create product datasheets, errata, user guides, application notes, revision guides, white papers, release notes, specifications, implementation guides, design guides, technical notes and other technical documentation. Technical writer will maintain existing documentation, create original content as well as work as a team with hardware, firmware and software engineers and other subject matter experts in the creation of technical collateral for AMD’s APUs, SoCs, CPUs, chipsets, firmware and software, products and services.

Technical Content Moderator is responsible for structuring and organizing AMD’s Enterprise Developer Hub (DevHub), as well as maintaining its content. Collaborating with other DevHub Content Moderators, management and site developers to maintain and enhance DevHub effectiveness and maintain consistency across business units. DevHub is our customer’s source of design documentation, software, and design collateral for AMD Enterprise Products.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or Communications plus 4+ years of relevant experience in the areas of computer science or semiconductor industry
  • Good written and strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to understand complex information and communicate the information to individuals with diverse professional backgrounds
  • Self-motivated and a strong self-driven learner who learns new technologies quickly
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio), Adobe FrameMaker
  • Proficiency with XML authoring tools and content management systems a plus
