The Department of Economics of the University of Bologna has an opening for three positions of
Full Professor of Economics (formally: I fascia, field: SECS P/01).
Applicants have a strong research record with high-quality publications in leading academic journals. Successful candidates also show the ability to acquire third-party research funding. Teaching load is 120 hours per academic year and typically consists of one core undergraduate course and two shorter graduate courses at the Master or PhD level. Teaching can be in English or Italian.
The Department of Economics (www.dse.unibo.it/en) is ranked among the top 100 economic schools in the world according to the recent Tilburg University economics ranking. Its members have publications in top economics and field journals. The University of Bologna is the oldest University in the Western world and has a long-established reputation for teaching and research excellence.
The entry-level gross salary for tenured professors is 72.000 euros. A six-year tax exemption on 90 per cent of the salary is available according to the Italian tax law for those candidates (of any nationality) who have been residing outside Italy for 2 years or more."
