Major/Essential FunctionsPrimary duty will be to teach graduate level courses and provide clinical supervision in an online setting for the Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling Program. Other duties will include advising students, curriculum development, and engaging in scholarly development. Specific teaching assignments are dependent on department needs and individual expertise. Candidates must either be a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) or be eligible for certification within one year of hire.
Required QualificationsAcademic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate’s intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity
Preferred QualificationsA Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counselor Education, or closely related field. Candidates must either be a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) or be eligible for certification within one year of hire. A record of professional or scholarly productivity is desirable. A.B.D. will be considered. The Program is especially interested in candidates who have experience and/or a research and practice interest in
psychosocial/psychiatric rehabilitation, adaptation to disability, or experience working in rural and underserved settings.
