Assistant Professor (RT) -Oral Biology


The successful candidate is expected to establish collaborations with both clinical and research faculty at the college as well as with faculty across the engineering and medical campuses at UIC.  With respect to teaching, the candidate is expected to develop and teach graduate level courses in wound healing and tissue regeneration for MS, PhD as well as residents.  The candidate is expected to have a history of mentorship of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and dental residents. 


Eligible candidates are required to possess a PhD in Bioengineering or a related discipline with a research focus on the regeneration of dental and craniofacial tissues using engineered exosomes and extracellular matrix mediated biomimetic approaches.  The candidate is expected to demonstrate a high likelihood for extramural funding.  Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of funding or with existing extramural support for research.
