Assistant Professor of Biology

The Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee seeks applicants for a full time, non-tenure track faculty appointment beginning in August 2018.

Teaching responsibilities: These include teaching a wide range of courses in the biology curriculum and science classes. Preferred candidates will emphasize teaching introductory biology classes, botany and potentially courses in their area of expertise. 

Other responsibilities: These include but are not limited to advising students, mentoring students, participation in scholarly activities as well as department, division and college level meetings, service to the institution and community as well as to support the mission of Bethel University.

Required (minimum) qualifications: Must possess an earned PhD in Biology or related field from an accredited institution.

Other qualifications: Experience in teaching and scholarship at the college level, strong communication skills, a commitment to excellence in teaching and advising.
