Assistant, Associate, Full Professor Biomedical Engineering

Job Description

We invite applications for multiple tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the assistant, associate or full professor levels with expertise in any of our current focus areas, though other areas will be considered. The incoming candidates should demonstrate a translational approach to research and a commitment to education that is synergistically aligned with the department and the Texas A&M System. Early-career candidates must demonstrate strong potential to sustain an extramurally-funded and translationally-focused research program, while mid-career candidates must have a proven ability to do so. In addition, senior candidates should possess proven leadership skills and an established reputation as a scholar. Senior-level applicants will be eligible to apply for an endowed professorship during the hiring process. The successful applicants will be required to teach; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research program; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Persons who have completed post-doctoral training and possess a strong clinical/translational orientation to their scholarship are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or closely related discipline.
